Salang Pass Blocked for Traffic
KABUL (MEP) — As a result of flooding in southern Salang, the Salang pass has been blocked against traffic.
The highway was blocked today Monday, September 02, after huge flood caused sediment and rock material entering public road.
Therefore, Salang Pass Safety and Protection Unit has announced that its machinery vehicles are cleaning the road from both north and south sides.
The source added that consequently, the highway is blocked for traffic until cleanup is done.
Several houses were also damaged during the flood.
