Regards To Security Challenges, India Stands Along With Afghanistan: Modi

Afghanistan Storay palace of Foreign MinistryMEP: The Indian Prime Minister at the inauguration of the Storay palace of Afghan Foreign Ministry emphasized on Monday that security challenges from terrorist groups still out there.

Narendra Modi during the ceremony, spoke with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and a number of Cabinet members and some interior and foreign diplomats via video teleconference.

Modi said Afghanistan still faces challenges from terrorists that are supported by foreign countries but more than 1 billion and 250 million people in India stand along with Afghanistan.

The reconstruction of the palace, represents the consolidation of relations between the two countries, like Salma Dam Project and the National Council, he added.

Meanwhile, President Ghani, while appreciating the contributions of India, said Delhi is one of the biggest benefactors and supporters of peace in Afghanistan.

According to Ghani, the Storay palace is a symbol of Afghanistan’s diplomacy in modern era, restored with the generous assistance of India.

The palace of Storay of Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the last years was destroyed and rebuilt by India within three years amounting to 5 million and seven hundred thousand dollars.
