Rahmatullah Nabeel appointed as Afghan intelligence chief

KABUL: (MEP) – According to the latest reports former Afghan intelligence – National Directorate of Security (NDS) chief has been re-appointed as the acting head of the NDS department, Khaama reported.

An official in ARG presidential palace speaking on the condition of anonymity said that former NDS chief Rahmatullah Nabeel has been introduced as the acting head of the intelligence department.

The main reason behind the appointment of Rahmatullah Nabeel as the acting head of the intelligence department is not clear so far.

This comes as Afghan spy chief, head of the national directorate of security (NDS) Asadullah Khalid returned back to Afghanistan and resumed his work after he was injured following a suicide bomb blast in capital Kabul last year.

He returned from United States of America where he was taken for treatment purposes.
