KABUL: Middle East Press) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has arrived in southern Kandahar province accompanying a high ranking delegation to assess the security situation, an official said on Tuesday.

President Ghani headed to Mandigak palace where he is expecting to meet with local officials, elders and members of civil society.

He is also expected to hold talks with police and military commanders in order to discuss security situations and what can be done to bring peace in the city.

President Ghani is accompanied by Noor-ul-Haq Ulumi, interior minister, Abdul Bari Jahani, culture and information minister, and some members of parliament during his visit.
