President Ghani Visited India

KABUL: (Middle East Press) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani traveled India on an official three-day state visit late Monday.

President Ghani will get to meet with Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar and the Congress President Sonia Gandhi among other senior officials.

According to presidential palace, Ghani is accompanied by a delegation of high ranking officials during his visit to India.

First deputy CEO, Muhammad Khan, Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani, National Security Advisor Muhammad Haneef Atmar, Minister of Finance Ikleel Hakimi, Minister of Mines and Petroleum Daud Shah Sabah, Minister of Public Health Dr. Ferozuddin Feroz, Minister of Commerce and Industries Muhammad Homayoon Rasa, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Asad Zamir, Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled Nasreen Oryakhail, Afghanistan Chief of Army Staff Sher Muhammad Karimi, Office of Administrative Affairs & Council of Ministers Secretariat Director Abdul Salam Rahimi and Presidential spokesman Ajmal Abedi.

President Ghani is visiting India on a formal invitation by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This is Ghani’s first trip to India however, He as visited Iran, Pakistan and China during seven months in his office.

President Ghani is expected to sign a treaty with the Indian government on intelligence share and cooperation in dealing crimes during President Ghani’s visit.

According to local media reports in India, Kabul and New Delhi will share intelligence and cooperate in dealing with crimes based on the treaty which will be concluded by the leaders of the two countries.
