President Ghani Returns From Two-Day Visit In Swiss

12523205_923802007696042_6325766589991309464_nKABUL: (MEP) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, was headed for the purpose of sharing the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, Switzerland for a two-day visit, returned home this morning.

President Ghani on the second day of his visit to Switzerland yesterday afternoon, held talks with Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft and foundation of Bill, Melinda Ann Gates, American Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, Christine Lagarde, head of the International Monetary Fund and the founder and several officials of Google company.

Ghani also attended in a meeting entitled “Prospects for global security,” at the meeting in which the US defense minister, was also attended by Secretary General of NATO, global security were discussed.

Mr Ghani, at the meeting spoke on Afghanistan’s economic growth, peace and stability, strengthen the defense and security forces of Afghanistan and the joint fight against terrorism.

Ashraf Ghani emphasizing on cooperation of Afghanistan and the world countries said, “our efforts are to change Afghanistan from a conflict-zone to a stable cooperation area.”

Ghani agreed with the founder and a number of Google company officials in various training and development programs during the meeting.

Ashraf Ghani also praised the bravery and sacrifices of the US security and defense forces in the meeting with the country’s Defense Minister, Ashton Carter and the operations of the security and defense forces in front of ISIS terrorists in Nangarhar province assessed as “successful and effective.”

Carter in his part said that his country would continue its cooperation with Afghanistan, especially in the field of equipping and training of Defense and Security forces.
