President Ghani Promises To Solve Afghans Work Visa Problem In Saudi Arabia

MEP-President Ghani in Saudi ArabiaMEP: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a meeting with representatives of Afghans living in Saudi Arabia promised that the problem on their work visa and invitation will be resolved soon.

A statement by Ghani’s office said Sunday the meeting was held on Saturday evening at the residence of Mr Ghani in Riyadh.

The Afghan representatives have shared their suggestions in the various problems with the President and urged the President to find a solution for it soon, the statement added.

Passport issue, those Afghans who have traveled to Saudi Arabia with a Pakistani passport and schools with curriculum of Afghanistan and scholarships for students, are the main problems of Afghans residing in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Afghan businessmen living in Saudi Arabia also urged for distribution on their work visa and invitation and the Kingdom must give them the right to use the invitation like other countries.

The President after hearing the problems and suggestions of merchants, said that based on the decision of the National Security Council, after establishing the identity of individuals using a special page, Afghan passport will be distributed to Afghans in Saudi Arabia.

He directed the officials at the Afghan embassy in Saudi Arabia to solve the problems of training school in harmony with Afghans in the country and allocate a part of Saudi Arabia’s scholarships to them.

He assured the businessmen to speak with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz regarding the issues.

This comes as President Ghani visited Saudi Arabia to perform the obligatory Hajj pilgrimage.
