President Ghani Left For Logar Aimed Security Situation  

President Ghani in LogarKABUL: (Middle East Press) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Friday left for Logar province to review and assess the security situation of the province.

A statement released by presidential palace states the president held a meeting with security chiefs, a number of senators, members of the provincial council, civil society activists, community elders and some other senior government officials discussing the overall situation in the city.

During the meeting, the Police Chief of Logar requested the president to increase the number of security forces in the insurgency-hit province.

The Army officials also asked for additional military equipment and reinforcement troops, according to statement.

President Ghani pointed to the commanders that the central government is with them and that the cooperation between among the security organs of Logar and Kabul need to improve.

He said that every district needs to have an administrative compound and instructed the commanders to prepare a list of their requirements and send them to respective ministries.

‎Meanwhile, Ghani praised the sacrifices of the forces and emphasized that the forces should be commended on their courage and sacrifices.

In addition, Ghani directed the relevant ministries to build proper office buildings for all district governors.

President Ghani said that people have the right to complain and government will work for solving them.
