President Ghani Leaves for Germany to Attend Munich Security Conference

KABUL (MEP) – Afghan President heading a high-level government delegation traveled to Germany to attend the 56th Munich Security Conference early Thursday.

President Ghani will address the Afghan peace process and security issues on the sidelines of the 56th Munich Security Conference in the talks with representatives of participating countries, said Afghan Presidential Palace (ARG) in a newsletter.

The meeting is being attended by the President of Afghanistan while US President Donald Trump has conditionally allowed a peace deal with the Taliban in recent days.

Zalmay Khalilzad, the US special envoy for Afghan peace, also went to Brussels after talks with Taliban representatives to discuss the details of the talks with NATO officials.
