The attack took place late on Sunday evening in a playground in Khairkot district of the province.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Interior states that the insurgents had replaced the explosives inside a vehicle which blew up around 6:30 pm leaving over dozens of people dead and wounded.
The incident occurred when scores of people had gathered in the playground for watching the cricket match.
No group has so far claimed responsibility behind the attack.
The Ministry of Interior meanwhile condemned the deadly blast and has expressed deep condolences to the effected families.
