16 Confirmed Dead In Jalalabad Powerful Blast
KABUL: (MEP) At least 16 people have been killed and 13 others wounded after a massive explosion rocked Jalalabad city, the provincial capital of Nangarhar province on Sunday.
The blast took place around 10:30 am due to a suicide attack carried out inside the guesthouse of Esmat Shinwari, Member of Parliament (MP) and his brother Obaidullah Shinwari, member of the Provincial Council of Nangarhar.
Witnesses said, the suicide bomber detonated his explosives during a joint gathering.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, referring to the explosion wrote on his Twitter, “an explosion at a house in Nangarhar province is not related to the Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
However, Investigations are still ongoing.
