197394-3x2-940x627MEP: The United States has offered to spend five billion dollars annually in it is new plan for continued military presence in Afghanistan for providing security and train the Afghan security forces.

Reuters quoted a senior military official in the US Defense Ministry, saying the country plans to secure Afghanistan by 2020, has offered to finance it with the help of its allies.

According to the plan, America is expected to annually offer funds for its allies to provide security and train the Afghan army.

The issue of Afghan security against the Taliban by the NATO countries is due to be examined in the meeting of WARSAW.

Senior US military commander Gen. Skip Davis on Monday in Kabul, told reporters that America’s government will continue the program until 2020.

He expressed hope that the defense ministers of NATO countries and allies of America to support the funds aimed at security in Afghanistan at WARSAW summit.

NATO member states in 2012 had announced their intention to reduce its financial support for the Afghan war. NATO says it plans to gradually withdraw its forces from Afghanistan.

The US government has pledged to provide $3.5 billion of the cost and the Afghan government also has the ability to pay $400 million of that amount annually and America expects its NATO allies to pay other costs to their suppliers.

According to General Davis, in the new scheme of Pentagon, the number of troops and Afghan police will increase to 352 thousands.
