Pentagon Spends $7 Billion To Fight ISIS

IMG23404784KABUL: (MEP) The U.S. Defense Ministry announced that the pentagon has spent seven billion dollars in fight against terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq during the past two years.

In a statement the Pentagon said that 70 percent of the funds allocated to fight Islamic State (IS) terrorist group following US airstrikes in Syria and Iraq.

According to the statement, 13 percent allocated to security forces, 11 percent to navy forces and the last 8 percent has been assigned to the US Special Forces in Iraq.

The US-led coalition air strikes against the positions of terrorists have been carried out since 2014. However the action has not been confirmed by the United Nations.
