Parliament’s Resolution For Condemning The Armenian Genocide

MEP: The head of the National Committee of Egypt’s Armenians said on Friday that the Egyptian parliament is going to prepare a draft resolution, for condemning the genocide of Armenians by Turkey in 1915.

Mustafa Bakri, the member of the Egyptian parliament, by referring to the opinions of the MPs about Armenian genocide, confirmed that they’re preparing a resolution for condemning the genocide by Turkey.

Bakri also said it was a “shame” for Turkey and all countries should condemn this inhuman massacre.

Last January, more than 300 members of the parliament supported Mustafa Bakri and the newsmen’s request, about recognizing the Armenian Genocide.

After World War I, about 1’200’000 of Armenians were massacred by the Ottoman Empire or died of starvation.

Turkey denies the Armenian Genocide charges. And claims that both Turks and Armenians were victims of this tragic accident.

Prior to this, Russia and some countries from the European Union have recognized the Armenian Genocide.
