Paktia’s Jani Khel Fall In Taliban Hands
MEP: Moments before the armed Taliban have captured Jani Khel district of Paktia province.
According to reports, the district had been surrounded by the Taliban for more than ten days and they have managed to capture it this morning.
Local officials in the province say that security forces have retreated from the district and efforts to retake it have started.
The armed Taliban also said that they have seized all of the district’s checkpoints as well as its significant centers Khel.
