Pakistan Urges International Community To Find Solution For Yemen Crisis
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Pakistan has called on the United Nations (UN), Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the international community to come together and play a positive role in finding a political solution to the crisis in Yemen.
The decision was made on Monday in a high-level civil-military assembly presided by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other senior officials to analysis the situation in Yemen.
An official statement from the PM House said the meeting concluded that Pakistan remains firmly committed to supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia in accordance with the ambitions of the people of Pakistan.
It was also emphasized in the meeting that Pakistan is committed to playing a meaningful role in resolving the deteriorating situation in the Middle East.
To achieve that objective and to promote peace and unity in the Muslim Ummah, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be contacting leaders of ‘brotherly countries.’
