According to reports, the incidents took place at 4:00 p.m. local time (1500 GMT) on Saturday, which killed at least 37 people, were most likely carried out by Nigeria’s Takfiri Boko Haram militant group.

In addition 50 others were wounded following the deadly blasts.

Chad Lake is shared by the African countries of Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon, and Chad, which have been threatened by Boko Haram attacks.

Boko Haram, which controls parts of northeastern Nigeria, started its militancy against the Nigerian government in 2009.

Since the start of this year, the Chadian army has been involved in a regional offensive against the terrorists, after their attacks spread across Nigeria’s borders to neighboring countries.
