Over 50 Taliban With Famous Commanders Surrendered To Gen. Dostum In Faryab

    • 13522683_907119449398523_1499934767_nMEP: Mullah Bader and Mullah Zaher, the most famous commanders of armed Taliban group along with more than 50 members have surrendered to Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum, First Vice President on Wednesday morning.

    An operation was launched today led by Dostum in the Dasht-e-Laily and Aastana Baba areas of Faryab province in which the Taliban also submitted all of their military equipment.

    Masood Ahmed Masood, close person to General Dostum, who has attended the operation told Middle East News Agency that the people were previously fighting against Afghan security forces in the surrounding areas of Dasht-e-Laily.

    According to the person, the surrender of the armed Taliban will have positive effect in providing security in the areas of Tozkan mine and Dasht-e-Laili.
