NPC: Documents Of 26 Companies Referred To Judiciary

YamaKABUL: (Middle East Press) 26 documents of companies have been referred to judiciary out of 11 contracts worth 1.8 billion AFG, The National Procurement Committee (NCP) announced on Sunday.

Yama Yari, head of the NPC told a news conference in Kabul that these companies have been accused of using fake bank documents, forgery in their previous contracts and providing invalid documents.

Yari said that judiciary will make a decision on their fate but for now these companies have been banned from bidding on contracts.

Yari added, 11 of contracts eight of them were new and other three contracts have been approved after changes.

According to Yari, the contracts were evaluated in the latest NCP meeting on Saturday headed by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.

These contracts belonged to National Directorate of Security (NDS), Da Afghanistan Brishna Sherkat (DABS), and ministries of defense, higher education, finance, public works, counter narcotics, and Kabul Municipality.

The National Procurement Commission (NPC) has so far approved at least 250 contracts worth of around 45 billion Afghanis in its nineteen meetings.
