KABUL (MEP) – Majority of Iraqi PMs have voted in favor of Mustafa al-Kazemi’s cabinet, and now he has officially become country’s Prime Minister.
The Iraqi parliament convened today Thursday, May 7, under the chairmanship of Mohammed al-Halbousi and officially confirmed al-Kazemi as the country’s prime minister.
However the voting for the new cabinet was delayed for several hours, but finally Al-Kazemi earned the vote of confidence as country’s new PM.
The Iraqi parliament gave a vote of confidence to some members of Al-Kazemi’s cabinet, passing 15 of the 21 proposed ministers.
Iraq’s new prime minister has won a landslide vote of confidence as the country has once again witnessed insecurity and clashes between government and popular forces and ISIS.
