Nearly 50 Dead, 100 Injured in Several Bombings in Afghanistan

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Suicide attacks and deadly explosions in different cities and provinces of Afghanistan has left heavy casualties during same day, officials said.

At least 12 people were killed following an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion in southeastern Ghani province.

The blast took place in Qargha district on Friday morning.

Another fatal suicide attack rocked Mazar-e-Sharif Balkh city in which at least ten people were killed and about seventy others were injured.

The incident took place after a group of the Taliban insurgents stormed the attorney’s office at 11:30 am on Thursday.

At least three civilians were injured following a suicide attack in Kabul city on Friday afternoon.

Kabul police Chief Gen. Abdul Rahman Rahimi said this was the second attack in Afghanistan targeting the convoy of the coalition security forces today.

Meanwhile another heavy explosion in Jalalabad city killed at least four people and injured more than 13 others wounded.

Taliban militants have claimed responsibility for all attacks.

On the other hand president Ghani has strongly condemned the deadly blast in Balkh city in which 10 people have lost their lives and over 70 others were wounded.
