Nearly 2,000 Women In ISIL Captivities: Report

women in ISIS prisonsMEP: Iraqi Kurdistan officials of the International Committee of events recently reported that around 1,800 women are in the Islamic State (IS or Daesh) terrorist group prisons.

“There are still around 1,800 Yazidi women in ISIL captivities” Dindar Zebari, head of the International Committee of events and reports of Iraqi Kurdistan said in a press conference on Tuesday.

He added that since the occupation of Iraq’s Sinjar by ISIL, over 6 thousands, 500 women and children have been kidnapped which according to the Kurdistan Regional Government, around 1,800 women are held by the terror group.

The ISIL group had captured Sanjar town in a surprise attack in 2014 where they have taken a large number of Yazidi women and later the terrorist group officially announced that they have sold the women as slaves.
