NDS Arrests 13 Terrorists In Takhar
KABUL: (MEP) The National Directorate of Security (NDS) arrested 13 terrorists over various crimes in Takhar province in a special operation.
According to a statement issued by NDS, the operation was launched Tuesday night in Talqan city.
The 13 terrorists have been involved in kidnapping, murder and other crimes, the statement said.
The source added that these people have confessed to be involved in the assassination of religious scholars, elders kidnapping in neighboring Takhar province and other provinces.
The security forces also seized one Kalashnikov, a pistol and two grenades from the insurgents.
This comes as NDS has arrested yesterday a group of five kidnappers who had kidnapped a 14 year old teenager in Kabul city. However, the boy was then rescued by security officers.
