KABUL: (Middle East Press) A drone strike by NATO-led coalition security forces have left four insurgents dead in eastern Kunar province.
Local government officials said, the airstrike was carried out late on Tuesday evening in Ghaziabad district.
According to provincial police chief, Abdul Habib Syed Khel, two leaders of the anti-government armed insurgents were also among those killed in the raid.
The identities of those killed have not been cleared yet.
The anti-government armed terrorist groups have not commented regarding the reports so far.
Kunar is among the volatile provinces in eastern Afghanistan where anti-government armed insurgents are keenly operating in its different districts and regularly carry out insurgency activities.
The foreign insurgents including terrorists of the Pakistani Taliban group are frequently crossing border into Afghanistan and initiate attacks on check posts of the Afghan national security forces in Kunar province.
