Nangarhar Roadside Blast Kills 3 Injures 6

KABUL: (Middle East Press) An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in eastern Nangarhar province killed at least three children.

The incident took place late on Saturday afternoon in Sherzad district, local officials said.

According to a Military Force for eastern Afghanistan, Gen. Mohammad Naeem Hatefi, at least six others were also wounded following the explosion and that they were then shifted to a nearby hospital.

The incident occured after a civilian car struck an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Hashem Khel area, Gen Hatefi added.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
