Najran An Occupied Region By Saudi Arabia

MEP: According to most of the historical maps, Najran province in Saudi Arabia, belonged to Yemen before being occupied by Saudi Arabia later.

After ten years of war between Saudi Arabia and Yemen from 1924 to 1934, the Taif Agreement was signed between the parties in 1934.

The deal was transferring Asir, Jazan and Najran regions to Saudi Arabia until 1992, in other words, leasing them.

In 2000, a border agreement signed between Yemen and Saudi Arabia in Jeddah and former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh gave the mentioned areas to Saudi Arabia.
