MoFA Announces New Program for Afghan Students Abroad

KABUL (MEP) – Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) announces new plan to address the problems of 30,000 Afghan students studying abroad.
The new program will be launched in cooperation with the Afghan ambassadors by tomorrow, Afghan acting Minister of Foreign Affairs M. Haneef Atmar went to write on Twitter Saturday, May 2.
“Afghan ambassadors and diplomats in India, Pakistan, Turkey, Russia, Egypt and Kazakhstan have assured that they are launching a new program to address the problems of nearly 30,000 Afghan students in mentioned countries,” MoFA tweeted.
Atmar also assured all Afghan students who are on study abroad program, that the MoFA would stand by them and support them.
The foreign minister called on students to contact the country’s embassies and political offices if necessary.
The MoFA’s new program comes as large number of Afghan students studying abroad are suffering many problems and disruptions following the coronavirus pandemic.
