Military Operations Kill 138 Taliban across the Country  

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 138 Taliban militants have been killed and 83 others have been wounded in fresh afghan military operations across the country, Ministries of Defense and Interior said on Saturday.

General Zahir Azimi, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense has said in a tweet that at least sixteen afghan troops have also embraced martyrdom due to landmine explosion and militant fire in past 48 hours.

However, he has not mentioned the exact location of the militants attack.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior says 138 insurgents were killed and 83 others wounded during separate military operations in 11 provinces in past 24 hours.

The operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Ghor, Kunduz, Faryab, Badakhshan, Sar-e-Pul, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Ghazni and Paktika provinces in past 24 hours, the ministry of interior said following a statement.

Dozens of motorcycles, which insurgents mostly rely on during their attacks, were also seized during these operations.

A number of weapons and ammunitions were also confiscated, added the statement.

The anti-government militants have not commented regarding the reports so far.
