Military operation named Tadbir ends in Pashtunkot district

KABUL: (MEP) – The following military operation which started a week ago ended.

The Shaheen Corp Commander first brigade Gen, Shririn Kohbandi said, despite of clearing 12 villages out of insurgents by the Afghan National Army ANA the Afghan Police Border APB has established 5 Police check points in the area.

The local Taliban have rejected that their forces have been killed during the operation had been launched by the Afghan National Army and said, the Afghan security forces weren’t capable to progress in those areas where we have more influences.

And also they have claimed that two armor tanks and one ranger belonged to Afghan security Forces were destroyed by the road side bombs.

Though Afghan National Army Gen Kohbandi has demanded the armed insurgent groups to join peace and reconciliation process and make them ready for upcoming Presidential election to vote still warned that the Afghan Security Forces are determined to remove all the insurgents with much power they have in Faryab Province.

The local residents have denied talking to media in order not to damage their safety in the future, as it seems they are all satisfied with the operation had been launched in their areas.
