Militant Leader among 12 Others Killed in Nangarhar Airstrike
KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 12 anti-government militants have been killed following an airstrike in Landi Basawal area of Mohamand Dara District of eastern Nangarhar province yesterday afternoon.
According to Colonel Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal, press officer at the police headquarters of Nangarhar province, the airstrike took place after the group were trying to launch terrorist attacks in the jurisdiction of Mohmand Dara District and on Jalalabad-Torkham highway but came under airstrike attack before reaching to their aim.
Mashriqiwal said that a commander of the militant group was also among the 12 dead.
No group has commented regarding the report so far.
