Members of Provincial Councils Protest in Capital Kabul

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Members of the provincial council have gathered together in protest against the denial of the right to monitor the soviets and have closed down the road of the Kabul international airport today around 10pm in Capital Kabul.

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Members of the provincial council have gathered together in protest against the denial of the right to monitor the soviets and have closed down the road of the Kabul international airport today around 10pm in Capital Kabul.

On 25th January house of parliament have unanimously rejected the regulatory role of provincial councils in the adjustment of the Provincial Council and following this decision the provincial councils have closed their office to draw protest.

Although the president Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said that the collective oversight role of provincial councils in a specific framework agreement, but still continued to protest by members of the council and council offices are also closed.

Members of Provincial Councils say, it’s our legal right to monitor and today’s protest is a warning to the government if their demands are not dealt with, the public highways will be shut down.

They have also emphasized that if the government did not pay attention to their demands, the government offices will be closed in Capital and provinces of the country.
