Fresh American Troops Deployed In Helmand

    • U.S troops arrived in Afghanistan's HelmandMEP: Local officials in southern Helmand province say a number of fresh American troops have arrived in the province for security and cooperation with the Afghan security forces.

    However, the number of troops have not been determined.

    Omar Zwak, Helmand governor’s spokesman confirmed the news to the media, said that a large number of foreign troops entered at the airport of Bust near the town of Lashkar Gah, the provincial capital of Helmand province.

    He added that the troops are equipped with modern weapons.

    The report comes as about three weeks ago, Helmand police chief had said that a number of US troops will be stationed at the airport of Lashkar Gah.

    Meanwhile, contradictory reports indicate that about 200 of fresh American troops with some Logistics Abe arrived in Lashkar Gah.
