Kundoz Clashes Kills 8 Soldiers And 45 Militants
KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 8 security forces have been killed, 16 others were injured and 45 insurgents have also killed following the ongoing clashes between the two groups in northern Kundoz province.
The heavy clashes ongoing in Gur Tapa and Qala-i-Zal District since yesterday said Abdul Wasi Basil, spokesman for the governor house in Kundoz province.
Reports from the area suggest that security forces have left some points to the militants in Gur Tapa area but Basil said that it was tactical stepping back.
Zabiullah Mujahid, Taliban spokesman has confirmed militant’s involvement in fight with security forces.
The clashes erupted Sunday morning leaving heavy casualties behind and is still going on.
