Sediq Sediqi, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI) tweeted on his social page, the district has been fully cleared of insurgents during operations conducted jointly by Afghan army and police forces.
It is said that insurgents from the district have fled to neighboring districts.
The anti-government armed insurgents are yet to comment on the report.
The district has been fallen to Taliban insurgents about a month ago.
