Key Police Officials Suspended Following Deadly Kabul Suicide Attack

    • صدیق-صدیقی1KABUL: (MEP) A number of senior police officials have suspended following the deadly suicide attack in capital Kabul on Tuesday, Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced.

    Sediq Sediqqi, spokesman for MoI told media the officials were from PD1. They were the police chief, the head of intelligence, the head of the unit fighting terrorism and another police official.

    Further details will be disclosed as investigations are underway, Sediqqi added.

    At least 67 people have been killed and over 347 others wounded after a suicide car bomber detonated explosives near an intelligence facility in Pul-e-Mohamood Khan area in Kabul city.

    Taliban insurgents claimed responsibility for the attack.
