Kapisa Mine Blast Left 13 People Dead, Wounded

KABUL (MEP) – A mine blast killed and wounded 12 people, including 10 civilians in Alasai district of Kapisa province.

The incident took place on Tuesday when the security forces convoys were patrolling in the Alasai district, MEP reports.

One ANA soldier was killed and 12 others, including two security forces, were wounded in the incident, the Kapisa police spokesman, Shayeq Shoresh told MEP.

Six women and four men who were among the injured are taken to hospital, he said.

The armed Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid wrote in a post on Twitter that the blast targeted a military ranger vehicle.
