Kandahar Governor Tests Positive for Coronavirus

KABUL (MEP) – Kandahar Governor Hayatullah Hayat along with several of his bodyguards tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.

Hayatullah Hayat said that he was tested several days ago and the result has been determined today.

He said he is in –self-isolation until he was fully recovered.

Meanwhile, Kandahar governor’s spokesman Ahmad Bahir Ahmadi said several bodyguards of the governor had also been infected with coronavirus.

Kandahar after Kabul and Herat tops the list of the provinces with the highest coronavirus cases.

So far, more than 481 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the province.

Earlier, the Minister of Public Health, Ferozuddin Feroz, had contracted coronavirus.
