Kabul Blast Kills and Injures 20 People  

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least two women were killed and eighteen others were injured including eight women, seven men and three children after a heavy explosion targeted Hamid Karzai international Airport in Capital Kabul.

The blast took place early Sunday in the vicinity of Hawashinasi area in the 9th police district of Kabul city.

Sediq Sediqi, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), confirmed the blast and said at least two women were killed and 18 others were seriously injured.

In the meantime, a security official said a foreign national who is believed to be a service member with the European Union Police Mission in Afghanistan (EUPOL) was also killed in the attack.

The injured were shifted to the nearby hospitals and there’s no reports regarding their health conditions so far.

No group including the Taliban insurgents has yet claimed responsibility behind the attack.
