Israeli Forces Attack Al-Aqsa Mosque, Wounding Palestinians

Israeli-Forces-firing-tear-gas-al-aqsaKABUL: (Middle East Press) Israeli forces have carried out attack on the al-Aqsa Mosque multifaceted in East al-Quds (Jerusalem) clashed with the Palestinian worshipers and throwing grenades at them.

The clashes broke out on Sunday in which at least three Palestinian were injured during the raid.

Dozens of people were removed, harassed and assaulted, the International Middle East Media Center reports.

Meanwhile, all men below the age of 50 were prevented from entering the mosque grounds.

The clashes come as Israelis are celebrating Rosh Hashanah, or the Jewish New Year. The Israeli regime usually imposes restrictions on Muslim worshipers’ access to the al-Aqsa Mosque on the first days of Rosh Hashanah.

The mosque, widely revered by Muslims, has been the scene of clashes between Palestinians and Israeli settlers and troops in recent weeks.

The al-Aqsa Mosque is a flashpoint holy Islamic site and is the holiest site in Judaism. The mosque is Islam’s third holiest site after Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina, Saudi Arabia.
