Israeli Fighter Jets Target Gaza Strip

KABUL: (Middle East Press) The Israeli fighter jets have reportedly hit Gaza Strip Thursday morning, Palestinian security sources reported.

According to reports the airstrikes struck several targets across Gaza without causing any casualties in response for alleged Palestinian rocket fire earlier on Wednesday.

An Israeli occupation military statement spoke only of three hits in total and did not give their location or identify the targets.

“Yesterday, June 3, 2015, two rockets were launched at southern Israel from the Gaza Strip,” it said adding that they fell on open ground near the southern city of Ashkelon and the town of Netivot. “No injuries or dead were reported.”

The Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas said the rocket assault was carried out by a Salafi group affiliated with the Takfiri group, ISIL, The Associated Press reported.
