ISIS to Send Arms to Azerbaijan: ISIS’ Silent War in Caucasia

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Lt. Gen. Imad Haidar, the commander of Iraqi army in northern Samarra, 125 kilometres (78 mi) north of Baghdad, has declared the arrest of Ali Saleh Ibrahim Abd al-Momen, the supposed uncle of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the despicable leader of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

“… during the interrogation, Abd al-Momen confessed that he was in charge of smuggling a major stash of weapons to the Republic of Azerbaijan through rugged Iraq-Turkey mountain chains in order to spark a bloody al-Qaeda inspired rebellion ,” B5 aktuell, a German-based radio station,  quoted Gen. Imad Haidar as saying on Sunday.

The ISIS high command, added Gen. Haidar, planned to smuggle consignments of small arms and light weapons to their fellow al-Qaeda terrorists in Zaqatala, a small city in northwest Azerbaijan, to be cached later in underground depots.
