ISIL Militants Threatens to Execute 2 Captives

KABUL: “Middle East Press” The ISIL Takfiri militants have threatened to execute captured Japanese journalist, Kenji Goto, and a Jordanian pilot within 24 hours if Amman fails to release a jailed female militant.

In a video, which emerged on the internet on Tuesday, the Takfiri ISIL group demanded the release of a female member of the terror group who is thought to be behind a deadly attack on a hotel in Jordan in 2005 and is on death row in Jordanian custody.

The video also mentioned for the first time the Jordanian pilot, 1st Lieutenant Mu’ath al-Kaseasbeh, who has been captured by the ISIL group.

The message followed a video posted on January 24 of freelance journalist, Goto, holding the photo of a dead body allegedly belonging to Japanese security contractor Haruna Yukawa.

The Japanese national was apparently beheaded after a 72-hour deadline for a USD 200-million ransom passed without payment.

On January 26, Japan said it had teamed up with the Jordanian government in a bid to free both the journalist and the pilot.
