Iran shoots down US drone
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps said it has shot down a US RQ-4 Global Hawk drone.
According to International News of Middle East Press, Irani media said Thursday the spy drone was hit when it entered Iranian airspace near the Kouhmobarak district in southern Iran’s Hormozgan province.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps said it identified US Global Hawk and destroyed after the invasion of the territory of Islamic Republic of Iran.
More details are not provided in this case.
The United States has not yet commented on this.
The reported shoot down comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and the U.S.
