Iran President Visited Turkmenistan on Potential to Boost Ties

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says that Iran and Turkmenistan should stay connected into their potential to expand their bilateral relations.

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says that Iran and Turkmenistan should stay connected into their potential to expand their bilateral relations.

Rouhani said during a meeting with his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow in the Turkmen capital of Ashgabat on Wednesday that the officials of the two countries are well aware of the consequence of very good bilateral relations, adding that they believe that they should develop all existing potential to improve the ties,”

Rouhani expressed hope that his talks with Turkmen officials would give to the promotion of mutual ties.

He welcomed his Turkmen counterpart’s invitation to attend a peace conference in the Central Asian country in late 2015 and said Iran will always support Turkmenistan’s policy of peace, friendship and independence.

The Turkmen president, for his part, praised friendly ties between Tehran and Ashgabat, saying the two nations have kept good ties.

He welcomed the further expansion of bilateral cooperation in different sections.
