How Long Is Riyadh-Cairo Tension Going To Take?

MEP: Less than two months, Saudi Oil Company, Aramco, informed that it would halt the supply of refined oil products to Egypt.

Some Saudis tried to announce that it is temporary issue and caused by technical glitches. It was obvious that there are a lot of factors creating tension between the two countries and Saudi Arabia is punishing Sisi because of his stances towards Syria.

The day before, Saudi Arabia continued the oil exports cutting to Egypt for the second month to show that all claims about punitive measures against Egypt were true.

Egyptians are now facing great fuel crisis. Their credibility has been marred because of following up Riyadh.

Now they are trying to ignore Saudi Arabia openly and find other supply. International market, Iraq and Libya are substitutes of Saudi Arabia.

There are also antithesis whispers that Egypt is trying to make a relationship with Iran for supplying Oil deficit. If it is true, it makes more tension between Riyadh and Cairo.

Cairo-Riyadh relation is seriously damaged. Positive developments in relations between Moscow and Damascus shows that Egyptians disappointed in relying on the southern edge of the Persian Gulf countries led by Saudi Arabia and try to find more reliable allies.

We would be witnessed the two countries’ reprisals in the political and diplomatic arena in the future.
