President Ghani to Inaugurate the 6th Session of Parliament

parliamentKABUL: (MEP) Members of the House of Representatives after spending one and a half month winter break have officially started the sixth session of their work Sunday.

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani is due to open the new National Council with his speech within next few hours.

This comes as last year the five year work of parliament had officially ended but currently the House of Representatives are still on the job based on Ghani’s decree.

The Parliament is possibly to talk in their first days about reforming their electoral system so that new commissioners electoral commissions and district councils to manage the upcoming parliamentary elections to be introduced.

The president will officially inaugurate the Sixth Session of Parliament today.

There was a lot of difference and stresses between Parliament and the National Unity Government (NUG) in the fifth year or season of Parliament work, however Ghani has emphasized on to resolve those problems.
