Hashd Al-Shaabi Kicks Off Operation From Tal Afar To Syrian Border
MEP: Hashd Al-Shaabi said in a statement that it kicks off the fourth phase of the military operations in areas on the Western side of Mosul on Tuesday morning.
According to al-Hashd news website, there is all kind of logistics and military preparedness and the troops are waiting for orders to attack.
The fourth phase of the operations in west of Mosul has started from the western side of “Tal Afar” to the Syrian border. The purpose of the operations is to cut off the terrorists’ remaining supply routes from Tal Afar to Syria.
Hashd al-Shaabi forces were able to finish the third phase by liberalization of “Tal Afar” airport on 14 November (Wednesday last). The name of the airport was changed to “martyr Jassim Shabar” after the liberalization.
Cutting the supply road of ISIS to Tal Afar put the Islamic state terrorists in difficult situation in western side of Mosul.
Al-Shaabi commanders announced that the purpose of the operation is to separate Tal Afar from Syria. These actions made ISIS terrorist more nervous and savage.
According to field sources, Tal Afar Airport operations encompass from southern to northern part of the city and Sinjar international road. We also talk to Kurdish forces and they said they are ready to cooperate with Hashd al-Shaabi.
Field sources announced, our next step which is to start the operation by entering the city depends on the full cleaning of the eastern part of Mosul until some of the Iraqi forces be present in the liberation of Tal Afar directly.
