Gunmen Set A School in Fire in Nangarhar Province

KABUL: (Middle East Press) A school in eastern Nangarhar province, have been put in fire by insurgents.

According to officials, the incident took place in Momand Dara District last night, confirming Haji Zahir Khan, an official from the education department of Momand Dara District said that unknown gunmen went to a school in Koz Basawal area and have burned the entire building.

He said that watchmen of the school later received a chance to extricate the fire that saved the school from further loss.

This is the 3rd incident taking place in eastern Afghanistan in less than 15 days.

Assailants still remain unknown with Taliban insurgents who claim responsibility of most of the attacks on government interests also rejecting hand in these attacks.
