Gunmen Attack Foreign Ministry Official in Balkh
KABUL: (Middle East Press) An official of the General Directorate of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (MoFA) known as Aziz Ghani has been attacked and killed in Mazar-i-Sharif, provincial capital of Balkh province, Sunday afternoon.
Spokesman for MoFA, Shakib Mustaghni has confirmed the attack and said that the official was killed by unidentified gunmen in Mazar-i-Sharif.
According to Mustaghni the convicts were riding on a motorcycle have escaped after killing General Ghani.
Mustaghni said police has initiated investigation into the incident and that further details will be available soon.
