Gunmen Attack Former Jihadi Commander in Sar-e-Pul

Sar-e-pulKABUL: (Middle East Press) Former Jihadi commander Nazim and his two sons have been killed in an unknown ambush by gunmen in northern Sar-e-Pul province, local officials said Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Monday evening in the capital of Sar-e-Pul, the officials added.

According to security officials, no suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident so far.

However, investigations are underway.

The officials did not provide further details regarding the incident.

No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility behind the attack.
